The cortege of the 'Justice March' launched by CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on June 15 reached İstanbul on the 23rd day.

‘Justice March’ reaches İstanbul on its 23rd day

The “Justice March” from Ankara to İstanbul was initiated in protest of the arrest of CHP deputy Enis Berberoğlu, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison on June 14 for leaking information for a report on National Intelligence Organisation (MİT) trucks claimed to transport weapons to jihadists in Syria.

Every day, thousands of people have accompanied Kılıçdaroğlu, who plans to finish the march with a mass rally in İstanbul on July 9.

Kılıçdaroğlu, who expressed relief overreaching İstanbul without anyone getting hurt, said the search for justice is going to continue after the end of the march.

The CHP leader also commented on a European Parliament (EP) resolution advising freeze of accession talks with Turkey and adopted by the EP on Thursday.

“We want justice for everyone. Turkey is not only composed of the AKP [the ruling Justice and Development Party]. I hope they [EP] decide to continue relations with Turkey by supporting our search for justice,” said Kılıçdaroğlu. (EVRENSEL DAILY)
