Singh, an academic and revolutionary who had been struggling with health problems for some time, breathed his last at the Jasola Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.
A life dedicated to scientific socialism
Vijay Singh was a distinguished academic known for his advocacy of Marxism-Leninism. Having spent many years working in the archives of the USSR, Singh made it his mission to bring historical truths to light against ideological attacks on socialism.
The archival studies he prepared and his contributions to scientific socialism are among the most valuable resources of revolutionary literature, both in India and on an international scale.
EMEP: "An irreparable loss"

"His passing is an irreparable loss. The void he leaves behind will be deeply felt.
Comrade Vijay Singh made significant contributions to the Indian proletariat's struggle for revolution and socialism. He fought for many years as a militant of the Revolutionary Democracy organisation, the Indian representative of the International Communist Movement. As an academic, he worked in the USSR archives for years, bringing the truths to the masses against attacks on Marxism-Leninism. He made contributions to the archive of scientific socialism.
Workers and communists will not forget his struggle. His memory will live on in the struggle of the working class."
