The International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organisations (CIPOML) has released a new statement against the US and Israeli attacks on Iran. The statement, issued by the Coordinating Committee, reads as follows:

"Today, the chief danger to world peace is US imperialism"

“The new US-Israeli military attack against Iran, while so-called negotiations were ongoing, demonstrates the brutality of US imperialism, which is the main source of war, instability, and the danger to world peace. The ongoing war is a continuation of the attack carried out on 13 June last year, and the US used negotiations as a screen while preparing its cursed blow.

The aggressive policy of the US towards Iran and other countries must be evaluated in the context of deepening imperialist contradictions and increasing US actions against peoples in various regions of the world, especially in the Middle East and Latin America. The accusations made against Iran yesterday and today are merely a cover used to justify warmongering policies, as was the case with Iraq in the past. Now they have dropped their masks and openly called for regime change.”

Call to mobilise against aggression

“The United States, seeking to gain full control of the Middle East, has recently launched repeated military attacks against Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria together with Israeli Zionism. The attacks against Iran are part of this imperialist strategy, as condemned by CIPOML at the time.

We recognise Iran's right to defend itself; therefore, without denying the reactionary nature of the mullahs, the priority is to condemn and stop US-Israeli imperialist aggression. For this reason, we call upon the peoples of the Middle East and the entire world to mobilise against imperialist-Zionist aggression to strengthen the struggle for peace. Solidarity with the workers and people of Iran!”
