Former Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) General Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is being held in Edirne F-Type Prison, has said, “A structure secretly organized within the state is bringing its agenda to life step by step through planned operations.”

Saying this secret, organized structure has political, judicial, civil service, media and capital arms, Demirtaş commented, “In the same manner, there is also this structure that has its arms in politics, the judiciary, civil service, media and the world of capital at the centre of operations being waged against opposition circles apart from us.”

The post made on Demirtaş’s Twitter account is as follows:

“Hello. I try to follow developments with limited means. We must correctly name what is going on in the country. For some time, the constitutional order has effectively been being changed and, in its place, an authoritarian, one-man regime is being constructed. And this is not being done solely through open political methods, either.

In the process, public power is being exercised in an illegal manner and with gay abandon. This structure secretly organized within the state is bringing its agenda to life step by step through planned operations. This secret, organized structure has political and judicial arms. It has civil service, media and capital arms.

The operation against us was conducted to the same end; to be able to establish an authoritarian and one-man regime. We are in possession of weighty legal documents and proof about those who assumed roles in the political conspiracy set up against us.

In the same manner, there is also this structure that has its arms in politics, the judiciary, civil service, media and the world of capital at the centre of operations being waged against opposition circles apart from us.

My recommendation is for nobody to be partner any longer to these grave crimes because when the day comes the people will make their decision and subsequently the law will operate. The evidence that will be adduced will initiate effective legal processes in a manner that will not court debate.

Let the 83 million trust one another and huddle together. We will overcome this calamity and bring Turkey onto the straight and narrow together because this country is all of ours.
