The girl with red foulard Ayşe Deniz Karacagil (Destan Temmuz) who was among the symbols of Gezi resistance lost her life yesterday at ongoing operation towards Raqqa against ISIS.
According to ANHA news, Karacagil was fighting as a fighter of Internationalist Freedom Battalion at Raqqa. ANHA reported that, Karacagil lost her life on May 29, on the 4th anniversary of Gezi resistance.
Karacagil had known as the girl with red foulard during Gezi protests in Antalya. Karacagil had been jailed and tried for 103 years imprisonment. Karacagil was last shown in Qandil right after she had been released from the prison on February 6 of 2014. (DIHABER)
