Governor has banned the miners' march for another 15 days in order to prevent it

Miners who wanted to march to Ankara for their compensation payments in Manisa has been banned for the second time due to the decision of the Governorship.

The miners in Manisa who work for Uyar company and who wanted to march to Ankara for their compensation payments continue to be stopped with bans. Manisa Governorship has extended the restrictions of any kind of meetings and marches for another 15 days as of 6th October.

A statement made by the Governorship of Manisa stated that “In all the districts of Manisa 15 days from October 21st to November 4th, 23:59, all forms of meetings and demonstrations, hunger strikes, mass protests, arm in arm marches in the city centre, laying wreaths, opening stands, putting up tents, memorial gatherings / gatherings of any sorts, etc. has been banned." It has been reported that all kinds of activities and prohibitions were decided with the Governorship Approval No. 650 dated 20.10.2020”
